Who can use this service
All patients of Tarneit Doctors can access our pathology services during their GP visit. If your doctor recommends a test, the sample is collected in the clinic, saving you time and providing continuity of care.
What to expect
After discussing your symptoms and medical history, your GP may request a test. Most samples are collected on the spot, and results are shared with your doctor shortly after, depending on the test type. For more complex results, your GP will contact you directly to explain the next steps.
Fees and Medicare rebates
Many pathology services are covered under Medicare if requested by your GP. Some specialised tests may not be bulk billed and could attract an out-of-pocket cost. Our team will explain any charges before collecting your sample.
